Episode 83. David Tandy – Past Louisville Metro Councilman (2005-2017) & 2009 Louisville Metro Council President
Louisville Metro Council president David Tandy is fueled by the desire to serve his community and to leave it a better place for his children.
David is a respected attorney with a packed resume. His accomplishments include the first president of the Louisville Urban League Young Professionals Organization, working in the Washington D.C. office of former U.S. Senator Wendall H. Ford, former treasurer for the Kentucky Democratic Party, and government relations director for the American Cancer Society.
In his efforts to help Louisville with its economic development, David served on many Metro Council committees, including the democratic caucus and chairing the metro development committee.
As a proud recipient of a football scholarship, David graduated from Vanderbilt University and continued his education at the University of Kentucky, College of Law.
