Episode 8. Rebecca Jackson – CEO, Crusade for Children & Former Jefferson County Judge Executive (1998-2002)
Rebecca Jackson was the first woman elected Jefferson County, Ky., judge executive, the county’s highest-ranking elected official.
Before that election, Rebecca had been active in international relations. She served on a delegation fostering relationships with local governments in China and with the International Republican Institute, observing Russian parliamentary elections and selecting a Bulgarian presidential candidate.
Rebecca graduated from the University of Louisville, receiving her Bachelor of Science and Masters in Education. She began her career as a special-needs teacher and launched an employment agency for persons with handicaps. She was also the CEO of RJ Consulting, where she taught leadership and management training internationally.
She is CEO of the WHAS Crusade for Children, a nonprofit organization serving children with special needs.
