Kenneth G. McPeek, best known as Kenny McPeek, is a distinguished American Thoroughbred racehorse trainer and bloodstock agent.

He is renowned for his astute talent identification and development of horses with modest pedigrees into elite competitors.

Born on August 2, 1962, at Fort Chaffee, Arkansas, while his father was stationed there, McPeek was raised in Lexington, Kentucky, a region celebrated as the “Horse Capital of the World”!

🏇 Career Overview:

McPeek embarked on his professional journey in horse racing in 1985, obtaining his trainer’s license and securing his first victory at River Downs later that year. He achieved his initial Grade 1 win in 2002 with Harlan’s Holiday in the Florida Derby, followed by a remarkable victory in the Belmont Stakes with 70–1 longshot Sarava, who defeated War Emblem’s Triple Crown bid.​

In 2024, McPeek reached a significant milestone by winning the Kentucky Derby and the Kentucky Oaks in the same year—a feat not accomplished since 1952.
