Episode 111. Angela McCormick Bisig – Kentucky Supreme Court Justice
Angela McCormick Bisig is a Jefferson County district court judge driven to get out into the community and make a difference.
Angela has been a Jefferson County district court judge since 2002 and strongly supports foreign language education for court personnel. As a judge, Angela introduced the enhanced family supervision docket to review domestic violence cases. She also advocates for more training on multicultural court issues and created a Spanish language and cultural immersion program for the Jefferson County court system.
Before becoming a judge, Angela earned a J.D. from the University of Louisville. She also worked as a law clerk, litigation associate, and waitress before becoming a Jefferson County Attorney’s Office prosecutor.
When out of court, Angela volunteers locally for charities such as Dare to Care Food Bank and regularly participates in the Louisville Girls Leadership Summit.
