Foster is a business executive & entrepreneur who has been involved with start-ups & early-stage business enterprises, and more mature companies. Having invested in a # of venture capital projects & funds, Vernon currently serves on the bd. of directors for a multi-state publicly traded bank & a life science co., & the bd. of advisors for companies in various industries, including food, technology & data storage, textiles, printing & marketing. Additionally, Vernon has served as Chair of the Food Bank NWNC, Piedmont Opera & Forsyth Country Day School, Piedmont Wind Symphony, Pres. of Wake Forest Univ. MBA Alumni Bd. Vice-Chair of Wake Forest Comprehensive Ctr., Samaritan Ministries, Habitat for Humanity, Crosby Golf Tournament all aforementioned in Winston-Salem, NC. & Lou. on the advisory YPAL Bd., Assoc. for Corp. Growth, & the National Black MBA Assoc. Not too shabby! Today Vernon is the Exec Dir. of the award-winning MBA programs at the Univ. of Lou., by providing strategic oversight for MBA admissions, career management services, & public relations & promotions for the Univ. of Lou.’s College of Business. Vernon’s passion & lasting impact on the programs have been noticed as a small token of appreciation for all he has done for the Univ. MBA programs, an Endowment Fund entitled the T. Vernon Foster Endowment to support future MBA scholarships was formed & named in his honor. Vernon & his lovely wife Jennifer have 3 sons Matt, David, & Taylor. Taylor is the youngest & travels with Vernon international. Trips, having been to approx. 40 different countries, & a daughter named Alexandra, an accomplished show horse exhibitor.
