Episode 142. Christen Boone – Former President and CEO, Fund for the Arts (2014-2021)
Christen Boone is a community connector, social entrepreneur, and nonprofit development and strategic philanthropy leader.
2014 Christen was named president and CEO of Louisville’s Fund for the Arts. Fund for the Arts supports various arts organizations and drives accessibility across neighborhoods, schools, community centers, and public spaces.
Christen also leads The Boone Group, which focuses on building strong and vibrant communities through the power of collective action and the spark of strategic philanthropy.
Before starting The Boone Group, she served in leadership roles within the Greater Louisville Project, 21st Century Parks, Fund for the Arts, Actors Theatre of Louisville, High Museum of Art in Atlanta, and the Fine Arts Fund in Cincinnati.
Christen has served on several boards and has received many community service honors. She was named the 2005 Outstanding Volunteer for Safe Place Services and a “Forty Under 40” leader by Business First. She has also served on the Kentucky Governors Scholars Board of Directors and Foundation.
Christen lives with her husband, Mike, and their three sons.
