Episode 95. Ramona Johnson – Former CEO, Bridgehaven Mental Health Services (1998-2021)
Ramona Johnson is driven by the desire to help those with mental illness.
She leads Bridgehaven Mental Health Services, which provides the highest quality psychiatric rehabilitation and recovery services for adults with severe and persistent mental illness. Ramona served as Clinical Director at Bridgehaven for four years, before taking the role of president and CEO.
In 1976, Ramona earned her nursing degree from Spalding University, graduating summa cum laude. She went straight into a nursing career in Louisville and Maryland. Ramona later became an instructor at the University of Louisville’s School of Nursing.
Her many accomplishments include director of mental health with Visiting Nurses Association, project director and clinical specialist with Our Lady of Peace Hospital, and nurse therapist with Seven Counties Services.
