Episode 50. Jennifer Bielstein – Former Managing Director of Actors Theatre of Louisville (2006-2016)
Jennifer Bielstein loves the art form and experience of live theatre and believes that it can change people’s lives.
Jennifer is managing director of Actors Theatre of Louisville where she oversees finance, marketing, fundraising and general operations for one of America’s most innovative theatre companies. Every year Jennifer manages one of the nation’s most prestigious new-play events, the Humana Festival while also managing regular season programming.
Jennifer moved to Louisville from Chicago, Illinois, where she was most recently the executive director of Writer’s Theatre. She also worked for Steppenwolf Theatre Company, About Face Theatre, Northlight Theatre, Apple Tree Theatre, and Lincoln Park Zoo and served on the board of the League of Chicago Theatres.
Jennifer is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Business Administration and Theatre.
